CPU thermal behavior
The processor remained stable while its built-in thermal controls were exercised.
AMD Precision Boost 2 continually monitors temperature, power, current, workload, and active cores, automatically leveling performance when a limit is reached. During the harshest synthetic Prime95 phase, the monitor recorded a brief 96.8°C reading and ended the run; there were no calculation or hardware errors. An earlier monitored 15-minute CPU/memory run passed 63 verified self-tests with a peak of 84.1°C. After configuring the RAM at its rated 5200 MT/s, a second 15.4-minute memory-focused validation passed 69 verified self-tests with no calculation or WHEA errors. This is not a detected component failure. AMD Precision Boost 2 · 7600X specification.
